40th Anniversary

A Memorable

40th Anniversary Gala

Thursday, November 1, 2018 - granite links golf club

Thank you to everyone who attended and supported TIC's 40th Anniversary Gala at Granite Links Golf Club in Quincy on November 1st! We raised over $70,000, which is critical to continued program development and growth to better serve more than 30,000 listeners statewide. We had 160 guests in attendance and contributions from more than 50 businesses, institutions and individuals!

It gave us great pleasure to honor Ed Perry, founder of TIC and owner of WATD-FM in Marshfield, MA, for his many years of dedicated service to the community. In 1978, Ed donated his Subsidiary Carrier Authorization signal for use as the first radio reading service in New England. TIC went on the air and has operated as the connection to the printed world for listeners who can no longer see for the past 40 years! Senator Patrick O’Connor presented Ed Perry with an official citation in recognition of his unwavering leadership as founder of TIC and 40 years of outstanding service

We'd like to express our sincere appreciation to our Keynote Speaker Dr. Sinead Kane, double PhD, double Guinness World Record holder, visually impaired athlete, qualified lawyer and inspirational speaker from Ireland! Click HERE to learn more about Sinead Kane!
