Picture of Ron BersaniRon Bersani, Executive Director*
Ron Bersani has served as the Executive Director of the Talking Information Center since the inception of the service in 1978. Prior to that, Mr. Bersani was a teacher of English in the Marshfield School system and was personnel director for a construction company. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, North Dartmouth, with a Bachelor of Arts in English. He is a past Chairman of the Advisory Committee to the Retired Senior Volunteer Program of Plymouth County and a member of the National Association of Radio Reading Services Tape Exchange Committee. Mr. Bersani has the primary responsibility for administering the radio reading services throughout the state, including fundraising at the network level, and studio design and construction. He has worked in every capacity at the center.
  
 
Picture of Bob DalyBob Daly, General Manager*
Bob Daly served in the United States Army and then attended Boston College. He is a graduate of the New England School of Broadcasting and has been employed in commercial radio in various capacities including on-air disc jockey and special project assignments. Mr. Daly is past president to the Halifax School Committee. He brought three years of volunteer experience at TIC to his current position. He has been employed full time at TIC since 1984. He educated himself on digital radio equipment and successfully updated TIC studios from Analog to Digital. He is responsible for the daily operations of TIC.
 
  
Picture of Jennifer DallaireJennifer Dallaire, Director of Development and Public Relations*
Jennifer is a graduate of Framingham State College. She brings 7 years of development and special event planning with her along with an energy and passion to help others that is contagious. Jennifer began her career in development as executive director and co-founder of The Heart to Heart Fund at Tufts Floating Hospital for Children’s Pediatric Cardiology Department. Her work with the patients and families of Pediatric Cardiology earned her the Heroes Among Us Award from the Boston Celtics. From there, Jennifer became a philanthropy officer at South Shore Hospital where she was responsible for the entire home care division’s fundraising and memorial programs. She was also responsible for organizing the hospital’s largest event; Hospice of the South Shore’s Walk for Hospice. Under her leadership, she was able to double the number of walk teams and increase revenue by approx. $80,000.00 in just 6 short months.
 
 
Picture of Ann CollinsAnn Collins, Director of Volunteers
Ann is a graduate of Middlebury College in Vermont. She began her TIC career as a volunteer newspaper reader in the early 70′s. Ms. Collins is responsible for recruiting, training, and placing volunteers in work assignments. She also organizes all TIC Volunteer Recognition celebrations.
 
 

 


Picture of Rich MahanorRich Mahanor, Announcer
Rich is a 1986 graduate of Curry College in Milton, Massachusetts. He began his broadcasting career at Milton College radio station WMLN and graduated with a BA in Communications. Rich then arrived at our carrier station WATD-FM, where he still works as a DJ. Being next door to TIC led Rich into our midst as the manager of evening operations. Rich’s many responsibilities include sound file management, volunteer supervision, recording and production, and board operations.

John is a graduate of The New England Institute of Art where he earned his degree in communications. He did work at a few area radio stations before joining the Talking Information Center in 2004. John’s responsibilities include maintaining the overall sound of TIC, organizing all programs for each broadcast day, engineering the morning newspapers, recording and producing public service announcements, editing recorded material, and assisting on special projects. When not at TIC, John works for WATD-FM as webmaster, public service director and fill-in disc jockey.

Fran works as a part-time receptionist for TIC. She also volunteers to read the Shoppers’ Guides every week.









Katie Crocker, Production Assistant
Katie Crocker is a graduate of Bridgewater State University, and is passionate about writing and media communications.  She completed several internships through her years of study, including two positions at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston.  After graduating with a degree in English and Communications, Katie participated in the inaugural class of the VOICE program led by TIC and the Massachusetts Commission for the Blind.  In VOICE, she developed a passion for radio reading, from the perspective of a producer and consumer.  Her involvement in the radio programming at MCB continued after the close of the training program, and in the spring of 2011, she joined the team at TIC as Production assistant.
When not at TIC, Katie volunteers at a local church doing sound board operation.  She is also a member of the Alumni Council at the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind.
